The chart below is designed and provided as an aid in the
determination of the correct hose size.
Example 1:

A velocity V=5,5 m/s and flow rate of Q = 66 l/min. have been selected.
The straight line linking these two values on the outer scales intersects
the nominal hose diameter ND16 on the middle scale. No allowance is
incorporated for the resistance of the pipes, elbows and valves viscosity,
the effect of temperature on viscosity and other factors.
A velocity V = 8 m/s and rate of Q = 150/min. have been selected. The
straight line linking these two values on the outer scales intersects the
nominal hose diameter ND20 on the middle scale.
