Hose and reusable fittings
Thru-the-cover style reusable fittings with hose
GH681, GH781, EC115, EC215
Step 1
Cut hose to length required using
a cut-off machine.
Clean hose bore.
Step 2
Liberally lubricate hose cover with
hose assembly lube.
Place socket in vise and turn hose
into socket counterclockwise until
it bottoms.
Step 3
Liberally lubricate nipple threads
and inside of hose. Use heavy
weight oil or Aeroquip® 222070
hose assembly lube.
When assembling long lengths
of hose, it may be preferred
to put hose in vise just tight
enough to prevent from turning,
and screw socket onto the hose
counterclockwise until it bottoms.

Step 4
Screw nipple clockwise into
socket and hose. Leave 1/32” to
1/16” clearance between nipple
hex and socket.

pages. Disassemble in reverse
order.
